Family Time

A couple of drawings of my wife (she's the one without the beard) going back to 2009.

Mind the bed bugs don't bite

A while back I was working in a portacabin on a building site office. Every day I would get bitten by mysterious creatures. I suspected bed bugs and my dark suspicions were confirmed when I caught one crawling around my belly button one lunch-time. This is exactly what it looked like.

Brad and others

Here's another page from an old sketch book. This time it's a caricature of a former colleague  plus a few random strangers.

Monsters

Here's the illustration I made a while back to promote a kids portrait, photo competition. I tried to reflect a mix of the main ethnicities prevalent here in Dubai in a cute, photo-me booth kind of way.

This kind of speaks for itself. It's a birthday card, and it's got a monster on it. What's not to like?

This was the view from Irocha guesthouse just a few miles north of Ouarzazate, Morocco.

Life Drawing

Quite an old drawing but I liked the way it turned out even though I cut his right foot off. Note, this is the UAE so this is about as close to a nude model as you can get.

Taxi!

Haneesh was my taxi driver last Thursday night and this was the first time he'd had his portrait drawn. I think he was happy with it.

Kinokunya

This guy was watching the fountains at Dubai mall. I got his nose wrong but you can't tell.

Monsieur l'Artiste

Here's a couple of watercolours from last summer. I got all Japanese with the grass

The Very Angry Caterpillar

I like to photoshop crap birthday cards for people.
This was for Jamie (believe it or not). Within a short space of time it rapidly took on a very rude and angry life of its own.

Some things always add up

In my day job I'm sometimes required to design the look of fairground rides.
One day I decided that a chartered accountants carousel would also make the perfect birthday gift for the man who has everything

The Miracle of the Mullet

Saw this guy at Charles de Gaul, waiting for his flight. His hair appeared to be in excellent condition and swung beautifully about the back of his head, while the upper crest announced to the world that he knew how to apply gel without shame or fear of ridicule. The armpit sweat is accurately depicted.
